Back in my early dumb days, I bought one for like $8. It's a .10c 300 ohm resistor that you placed across the maf sensor
I didn't bother trying it, didn't want to risk anything.
If you did, we'll have to stand in line and repeat what was done above...j/k
Uhhhhh....I second that. It's when I just got my GS over 4yrs. ago and never heard of CL or LOC forums. I went on Ebay and bought one of these things for like $20...as you said it's just a black box. Open it up and it's 2 wires going in and the same 2 wires going out with a resistor in the middle. Yeah, my dumba$$ still installed it with my friend to the MAF wires. Needless to say the thing started smoking when I turned the key!!! My friend was like ha ha loser. I was like and should I do now. I quickly disconnected it and disconnected the negative battery terminal for 20 minutes or so. Started it back up and everything seemed fine since. Who knows maybe I did do some damage to something but I don't have any check engine lights so I left it alone. In short, don't do it!
I bought something like that for my civic for 27$ and when i showed my dad he laughed and told me to get my money back. If it cost 35 $ to get 22+ hp i think everyone would be doing it.
And how can u gain more power and use less fuel?
How would everyone be doing it if no one wants to TRY IT.
Not that I am volunteering but just saying.
