So I was browsing on Ebay to see what kind of deals they had on parts for my GS and I came across this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...spagenameZWDVW ... yup and of course iv seen these things 100000000000000 times and 99.99% of the time they are crap (according to people that buy them). so i jus wanted to see people's opinions on this, maybe someone is willing to try it and see if this one really is different than all the others (as they claim)...

I dont like trying things unless i know they are proven, thats why i wanted to see if someone on here maybe already has tried it, or is willing to ...

 

I bought one of those for my civic..and the motor blew up 2 weeks later...its a waste of money...

 

I don't think anybody is willing to risk damaging their engine to test a cheap "performance" chip

 

If it is too good to be true , IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

 

 

 

LOL love the comments im getting, but if you read my original post i never said i believed in it and i said that 99.99% of these things are crap. but then again i have heard very FEW stories of these things working. thats why i decided to post to see if anyone has used these with good results, or was willing to try it ... im not willing to risk it, so throw that wrench at someone else

My opinion is if it didn't come from a reputable manufacturer like Apexi or Tanabe or something like that, I won't trust it. Thats just me.

This thing reminds me of that resistor from EBAY (back in my Ricer-days ) that you hook up to your MAP sensor that supposedly does the same thing. Turned out it really did nothing but make it run like crap under many conditions.

 

Back in my early dumb days, I bought one for like $8. It's a .10c 300 ohm resistor that you placed across the maf sensor

I didn't bother trying it, didn't want to risk anything.

If you did, we'll have to stand in line and repeat what was done above...j/k

If you want a real performance "chip". Then go buy a SAFC and cheap intake off ebay. Then get it tuned. It will net you more HP gain compared to any of these other so called "chips".

 

I bought something like that for my civic for 27$ and when i showed my dad he laughed and told me to get my money back. If it cost 35 $ to get 22+ hp i think everyone would be doing it.
And how can u gain more power and use less fuel?
