Default Mama, I'm going fast!

Last night on the way home from work, cruising along I-70 at my normal commute speed of 80mph. For some reason I got the itch to stomp it.
You know, these 4.0s go from 80 to 120 pretty darn quick. Suprisingly stable at that speed. Plenty of pedal left as well. I let off a bit and the transmission shifted into 5th. I guess I coulda hit 140 or 150 without much effort.
Maybe tonight.....

Oh, no mods. All stock.

Be careful with no mods at that speed (140-150) the car might sway a little on you

Heh, I maxed the car out when it was bone stock. I tell you though, it took a hell of a long time to hit 150 lol. That last 20mph takes ages on the stock inline 6. Now I can do it in about 1/4 the time it used to take

Uuhhhmmm....yeah....I ran my G3 up to 148 without mods and it was not a fun affair. With mods I'd do it again, but can't find a stretch of highway long enough. Darn the commuters!!

stock suspension at higher speeds scared me.... It felt so unstable and even after HKS coilovers, the rear still feels unstable sometimes.

Really? I cruise at those speeds all the time and the car is very stable. Then again, I have almost every suspension brace and upgrade possible lol. Either way, it was still pretty stable even on the stock suspension. The aerodynamics of the car actually has a rough spot at about 120-130mph. After you pass that the car becomes extremely stable.

Not really very smart to drive like that in the public domain, IMHO. Don't encourage it.

Last trip to vegas, cruising about 115 on that lonely old highway. Didn't even realize it until I passed another car.
