Default Has anyone seen this GS400?

It is for sale in Miami (although it was photo'd in DC, I believe). I am interested in purchasing it, but I live in Newport, RI, so I'd hate to fly down and be disappointed.

It's been for sale for quite a while and I'm thinking someone here might know something about it and possibly the reason why. I ran the Carfax, and it comes up clean, but the car has changed hands several times, which worries me. If it's clean, though, it seems to be the right car at the right price for me.

Also, I wasn't aware of a "Platinum Edition" in 98.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I know the price isn't neccesarily better than I could find around here, but private sales are few and far between. Most of these beauties end up back at the dealer and go out at 33ish. Even if I did find one up here in New England, a FL car may still be more attractive, knowing it hasn't trotted thru 3 winters.

And as you suggested, I would make a mini-vacation out of it with the new gf, so I'm not too concerned about the hassle of driving it home, especially since I can put it on the Amtrak Auto Train in Orlando and get brought to DC, giving me and the new Lex a nice break from driving.

Maybe I'll hire someone to check it out for me.
