Default stering wheel asembly

my mecanic was chainging the stering wheel in my gs and the part where the wires hook up came undone. it has a long wire that its ment to turn left and right he puit back together but the s wheel looks up some times. does any one know how that cable goes correctly thanks.

Does that cable have the PPS solenoid connector on it? For a 02 430 here are some checks you could do. I don't know if they are the same for a 400.
1. The steering wheel set nut torque is 37 ft-lb. Was this over torqued?
2. You should have 30mm steering wheel free play. Do you?
3. The steering effort is 61 in-lb. This is measured with the car running, the center pad off and a torque wrench hooked up to the bolt in the center.
