The absence of the hubcentric ring is one of the reasons that can contribute to the shaking. This is due to the wheels not being completely centered as it is only sitting on the studs which is very bad. At specific speeds this can cause a sort of harmonic vibration.

But the GS is notorious for having vibration problems at certain speeds, namely the 50-60 area I believe. There have been tons of threads about it and not many of them figure out the problem and have it solved. I'll try to find one for you though.

Always ALWAYS use a torque wrench.

Never use anti-seize on studs either, to those that do...

did you have your wheels balanced? if not, go do that. if yes, take it back to them and tell them that it's vibrating and they need to be rebalanced.

i've NEVER used hub centric rings for anything. the shaking sounds like another problem. im thinking alignment. might want to get that checked
