Navi DVD 2nd gen Vs. 3rd gen

is there any advantage to upgrading the navi computer from a 2nd gen to a 3rd gen?

not something worth it. They added a calender function, and a few very minor things. If i were buying, i might pick one over the other if the price difference was justifiable, but i wouldn't upgrade... too much hassle.

HOWEVER, If i were you, I'd shoot straight for the 4th gen, that would yield a worthy upgrade.

what do you need for the swap? just the navigation thing in the trunk or is it a lot more complex?

Depends on what you have now. If you have 2nd, 3rd gen, then its a simple ECU replacement, according to threads i have seen.

perform a search, and it should come up.
