Resurfacing Headlight Lenses

Resurfacing Headlight Lenses
Hi folks,
I read here before that someone was able to resurface their headlight lenses that were slightly scratched.
Has anyone done this to remove pits / chips (HID HUE) in headlights?
It was a sandpaper process and other things, but I dont quite recall.
If anyone has info / pics on this, I would really appreciate it. I'm sure a lot of people have this issue and it would help out a lot of people. And if you have personally tried it, please discuss your experience
Thanks,
Manuel

I have cleaned mine up quite a bit using regular scratch remover and a lot of elbow grease. Others have used different polishing compounds with similar results. Back when I had a plexiglass fish tank there was a two step polish system which worked great on the fishtank [can't vouch for headlights, but I was going to pick some up next time I'm in a pet store].
At the bay area mini-meet, the owner of the RMM GS4 [Glen] put on [brand name escapes me] clear plastic film on his headlights, driving lights, hood and bumper. Looked great and had a great side effect -- his scraggy headlights looked crystal clear.

Search for Z14
GS4fun - there was a thread that covered this pretty well just a few days ago - if you search for "Z14" you'll fine the thread that starts "Zaino (Z14)" and it has several suggestions. In fact, you might just search for "headlight lens" as there was another thread a couple of months ago that went into even more detail. You can polish the lenses with several products and it works pretty well - good luck!

Like garnet stated, we've begun discussing this in another thread as well - glean what you can for it:
