I'm considering selling my GS for a couple reasons. Mostly I would really like a 4x4 pickup for winter driving, and also so I can haul my motorcycles whenever I want to. I'd like to get some opinions on what you guys think my car is worth. It's a white 98 GS300, 147k miles, new tires, new windshield, interior is in great shape, everything works fine, but the car got some pretty decent hail damage a few weeks ago. One body shop estimate was right around $2000 to fix all the dents. The car has a lot of rock chips and a couple other small dents. The trunk had been repainted before I got the car and the color is a little bit off. So what do you guys think?

I just put in all the info on KBB.com, and rated the condition of the car as "fair", which put the value at about $7700. Does this sound like a real street value for the car?

sounds about right to me, considering there's hail damage and other dents as you said. however, i'd still check out the local autotrader and see what everyone else (private listings) is selling theirs for.

Good luck with the sale Troy - you'll sell it when it's time.
It's Fargo - the GS is "rare" there so you can probably sell it for a bit more. I'd put it out at $8500 or so and let them have it it.

Well if I actually decide to do it, which I'm leaning towards, I'll start high. I can always come down no problem. I wouldn't say the GS is "rare" here, I have noticed quite a few of them around since owning one, but its nowhere near as common as american cars of course.
