Small light bulbs in high beam light fixture??
Can any one please tell me what the small light bulbs do that are located in the high beam light fixture on my 2001 GS430???? I replaced the stock filament bulbs with LED, and they do not illuminate, or do anything????

They are 168/194 wedge bulbs that merely act as accent lights and only light up when parking or low-beams are on. I too just replaced my PolarG M6 (filament bulbs) with an LED type bulb. At first they didn't work either...went on-line and read that they needed to be unplugged from the harness and rotated 180 degrees. Bam! Now they work. If yours still doesn't work you might have got a bad batch. GL!

i just redid mine also, changed out the 12LED blues for 12LED xenon whites to go with my newly cleared side markers with its own 6LED xenon white wedge bulbs

Where did you read about that from? I just got a new GS this past weekend and notice that my accent lights don't come on ever either. I took the bulb out and turned it and still nothing.
