Just checking the obvious.

Fog lights will not work when the car is using the day time running lamps, parking lamps only, or with high beams.

Try this:

1. You have the fog light switch on
2. Headlights to on
3. High beam/low beam to low beam
4. You should see a green headlight lit up on the dash
5. You should not see a blue high beam light on the dash
6. Go see if your fog lights are on.

My car's now doing this exact same thing and I think it's the fog light switch. It cannot be the bulbs themselves.

When I fiddle with the foglight switch with the headlights on low beam, I can get them to come on and stay on. When I go to high beams or use the turn signal, they'll go back off. (They don't turn on when I go back to low beam.)

I really think it's the switch but am not sure. I haven't yet done a search to see if there are other posts describing this.

Yes they do.....And when I go back to low beam, they stay off and should not.

I still think I have a bad switch. when I jiggle the switch the lights go on and off.

I have the same problem...it's the stalk. I have to replcae it it is loose and jiggles. My fog light is non functional because they keep flashing when I hit the turn signal. You have to replace the whole thing. My mech says it is one piece. I live in Cali so I dont really use them. unless i drive in the city (SF)

1. How much to replace?

2. How hard to replace? Did you have to take the steering wheel off? What was involved?

3. Where would you recommend buying part? I've checked Ebay and don't see any for sale. I've used Carson Toyota in the past and have been pleased with their prices. Any other suggestions?

Yep, it's the switch in the stalk. I have owned three 2nd gen gs4's and two have had this problem. At least the GS is consistent.
