The GS for me please. But I need a sedan type car that can carry around people and stuff. The SC is pretty roomy for a coupe too, but I can't do the 2 door car thing anymore, as mentioned (when I need a car that transport).

im biased towards the gs due to it being a sedan. SC are awesome but its only two seater coupe. Not much room for when you needa have people in the car or getting things around town.

Even though the 97 SC isn't too old, it's platform started in the 1992 models. It's interior is definitely showing. Not to mention, the GS400 has 300hp while the 97 SC400 only has 260hp

I really like both, but honestly I think you would be more happy with the GS. The GS has so many more special features over the SC, its newer, and its faster. The GS400 was a statement car for lexus and they did a really good job with it. Good luck with your decision.

Both are nice cars. The powertrain in the GS is better being newer. One thing to think about.

If it was between a 98 GS400 and a 98 SC400, I'd have a harder time choosing. Although the GS would still win by a little.

Both cars are awesome but I prefer a sedan so I'd choose the GS.
