Default Vibration at 65-70MPH

I have '02 GS300 (80K miles) with stock 16" rims and the steering wheel vibrate from 65-70MPH but than smooth out past 70MPH. I had my wheel balanced and rotated but same problem occur. What could be the problem?

Check ur bearings, might be too much play at the wheel, I'm getting my lower ball joints and bushings replaced this weekend. I dont feel vibrations tho, but i think the lex could be smoother

It could be a bad balance most vibrations during this speed is from the balance.

Could also be wear patterns on the tires since you just rotated them.

Sounds like a problem with the wheel / tire assembly which static nor dynamic wheel balancing will fix. You need to have your wheel road force balanced which will measure the run out in the wheel and the stiffness in the tire and match the two eliminating your vibration. Below is a link to where you can find a road force balancer near you.

The GSP9700 is an awesome machine. I was able to greatly reduce my vibrations after a road force balance on this machine.

Default Vibrations

Could also be your rotors. They may be warped. You could have them machined down but it may be better to replace them completely. I had this same problem with vibrations during braking at high speeds (65-70 mph) and that was the issue.

Most likely it is the wear pattern on your tires. You can only do so much on balancing a tire. I have the same problem when I had my ball joints replace and aligned. My brother is a service manager at firestone and he suggesed for me to get new rubbers. Since you just rotated your tires, your tire wears different from the front and back. That could be the cause if vibration.

Warped rotors only cause a vibration when you are braking, not when your accelerating.
