Im taking my car in to get a couple things painted including the roof the body shop said there going to leave the sunroof open and there gonna tape everything up inside there . is this normal has anyoneelse had there roof painted? how was the outcome?

they are painting the inside of the jams by the sunroof.....thats actually what a good shop would do .....*PAINT INSide the jams*

I was thinking of getting my roof painted eventually so I'd like to know too.

actually a good paint shop would remove that whole assembly so that even the paint in the jambs would look nice

He's right. They should take out the sun roof and track so that there is no evidence of it being painted.

he wanted to take out the sunroof but i told him no i dont want to take a chance of someone putting it back together wrong and the paint does not go all the way down the jam there is black paint where the track is so i dont see areason to paint the whole jam
