1. Does anyone know how to fix a p0440 engine code? 2. Has anyone ever used universal cats on a 98-05 gs300? 3. Does anyone know where i can find a cheap driver side door lock actuator? I just bought the car a few days ago and im having an extreme case of buyers remorse. email me at fast4doorgtp@hotmail.com

PM GSoup. He has an aftermarket cat on his car. He's turboed, but I dont see why you can't use one on a stock GS300.

Cheapest place for a new actuator is from Carson Toyota (One of clublexus' vendor). It's about $200+ shipping.

P0330 is a code for your knock sensor on the right side of the engine. It may be faulty, or the harness may be loose.

Anyways, p0430 either means your oxygen sensor or cat may need replacement. lexus can see if your oxygen sensor is working properly by running a test. However, the diagnostic test is $90 or so. You might as well get an oxygen sensor for about the same price.

If it ends up being your cat they are covered under a 8 year 80k warranty if your car fits under that time frame. Seems like most cases end up being a O2 sensor though. One easy way to tell is switch the plugs from one sensor to another and see if the code jumps to the other bank. Could also be a simple as a exhaust leak. http://www.epa.gov/OMS/consumer/warr95fs.txt
