Default Momo 201

Well, after a month, I got my chrome sphere. Let me tell you, it looks AWESOME and it's ultra comfortable; much better than the better looking (in paper) cobra. But it didn't look good when I got it.
Here's the momo 201 installation instrucitons.

1. Same as most people: **** came with 4 rubber adapters and
2 sets of screws: use the thickest adapter and longer screws.
2. I drilled the **** almost all the way to the top cap, which was
about an extra inch.
3. I also drilled the rubber adapter so the shaft would go thru it.
I forced the rubber adapter into the ****.
4. **** was installed, and the bottom ring cleared the plastic
P-R-N-D-3-2 plate by a scant 1/10" when in park: even lower
the bottom of the stock unitl
5. Overall, the sphere **** sits about 1-1/2" lower overall than
the stock one.
6. It sits quite a bit lower than the one featured in autotoys
(where I bought mine).

I don't have my digital camera yet, but it looks absolutely fantastic on my car. You can do the same adaptation to any sphere ****. There are several different models.
Don't be deceived by the apparently better ergonomics of the others; they aren't.

Before you try to drill other models, be advised the sphere is a ball of solid aluminum, so I could drill it almost to the top. I'm not sure how the others are built, and I wouldn't try it before being able to remove the top part until you can see the aluminum and measure how deep you can go.

When I get my digicam I'll post pictures.

Hey Juan - glad ya finally got it! The wait was a pain I'm sure, but worth it in the end!

Now I have two of the ***** (short and tall zebrano) I decided to get a bit more adventurous drilling the short one to get it nice and LOW sitting. Well I'm really pleased with the results. Here's a pic:

Hope it works out Globe. Strange that Burien place doesn't supply the standard screws and caps normally.
