what exactly is happening in the picture? ALso why did the shop just lay their tool on top of your roof like that with the cord dangling around?

I'd be pissed if a shop was scratching up my roof like that. Your roof is black too.

Looks like it might be sitting on the glass, so no big deal. Then again, why not just put it on the ground?

He had issues posting the pics, this was just a progress pic as they were breaking the car down before preping for paint.

If it's prepping for paint, I guess there's not much harm in setting tools on the paint since it's getting stripped off anyway.
