How much is my GS worth?
I have a black on black GS300 and was wondering how much my car is worth before listing it on the market. It currently has 135k miles and runs great. I check kelly blue book and its value is $12k for good and $13,000 for excellent condition but without the sound system... however this is what I added since I bought the car:
Fully loaded:
Rear GS400 spoiler
5 spoke Chrome Lexus Rims (Plautinum Series?)
All stock besides the sound system
@ 90k miles: Paid $2500 for the 90k service, brakes, and etc.
@ 95k miles: Paid $7000 (parts and labor) for a sound system which is all from JL Audio that includes 1 12w7, 2 sets of XR components, 500/1 and 300/4 amp, Dynamat all doors and trunk, AVIC d1 Navigation system, XM and Sirius installed, DvD player and a pair of headrest monitor.
Last month @ 130k miles: Paid $2600 for new suspension ( ball joint, control arms, spark plugs, rear brake pads and rotors, etc. all needed to be replaced)
My Car is in excellent - Good Condition: Glossy paint, except 1 light ding (unnoticiable) and 3 small light scratch about an inch each on the rear quarter panels. All repairs/ service are all done @ the Lexus Dealer and have all the paperwork. How much is my car really worth? It is hard to prove without pics, cant get my cam to work at the moment. thought I ask you guys first before posting it up on the market....
Also, any pointers when selling the car through private party... thanks...

I don't know what the sound system would be worth but one shouldn't expect completed maintenance to increase the value of a car. Not doing the maintenance would lower the value but the book price assumes regular/required maintenance has been completed.

P.S. If is anything like the Harley market, you might be able to recover about 50% of the money spent on the audio system but at the same time it limits the market. (Not everybody wants all the upgrade)
