Dealer Price- Timing Belt and Water Pump
Hi All,
I was just quoted $750 to replace the TB and WP on my 2000 GS400 from a Lexus dealer. Is this a fair price?
TIA,
JCW

good price for the dealer! While your their have them do the cam and crank seals. They don't normally leak but for the extra $20 they will charge you it's well worth it! If one happens to leak later your talking about the same labor all over again! GL!

i had mine done for $548 at local toyota dealer. 3wks later i was back there again cause it was burning oil and i had to have cam and crank seals replaced, but they did it for free, but the kept my car for a whole week then i found out that they did for free because they had charged me for the seals anyway. I stopped using them for service even though they made good on the service mishap, they even changed my serp belt for free!

there's nothing else reallt relevant in the 90k service but the TB and WP, everything else is just inspection and oil drain n fill, nothing too much or important or unable to DIY
$750 is a great price from a lexus dealer for TB + WP if it includes both parts and labor if theyll even throw in a loaner then it cant be beat!

Hey, can you send me a PM or post what dealer that was? I'm in NJ too and even though I'm only at 63K I want to keep them in mind when it is time for me to do so if the price is roughly the same for my 2001 GS430. Is it Lexus of Englewood by chance?
