Default Wood Grain - What type of wood is it?

I spent some time yesterday searching the archives for information on the wood grain in the GS. I am usually pretty good at finding what I am looking for (See low Post count) but this has got me stuck. Lexus.com says "Walnut Trim" so I am assuming that this is what my vehicle is equipped with. But in my searches I also came across "Birds Eye Maple". My rear door panels have the Birdseye effect and all the wood seems a little too light (to me) for walnut. So what do I/we have?

i thought it was some sort of rose wood

i noticed that my wood where my console and shifter is doesnt match the ones on the doors that well! The one where the shift **** is .. is like line pattern. I see a lot of lines. But the doors is very swirly circles. I dunno if its the pattern that makes them look different but its weird

Either lexus' Press release is a typo, or we were all misinformed

This is what I was reading. Second point under Luxury and Convenience says "Walnut Trim." I am still confused.

After reading more, it seems more likely it is a red stained walnut ... not rosewood.

I think the LS has rosewood ...
