Default projector fog retro?

do you think there is enough space to retro fit a projector, even a small H3 halogen projector in the 2GS fog lamps?

any one done it before? any feedback?

I tried this but was unsucessful. Main reason is because the foglight front lens is wavy. No way to get rid of those. I tried sanding but no luck, it's some incredibly hard material...possibly glass but I can't confirm that. I ended up wasting a set of fogs because of the failed sanding. If you can somehow fabricate a thick curved piece of Lexan to fit on there then you should be good to go. A small projector such as a 1inch unit will fit in there. I was actually gonna use the 350z HID projector. I abandoned the project after I was unable to get the waves out of the lenses.

If you want to attempt it, then I have a set of fogs for sale here. One has a sanded up lens. The other one is still in good condition.

I'm still trying to figure this one out. there is plenty of room behind the passenger side fog light for a projector to fit, but the windshield wiper fluid tank is behind the driver side foglight leaving not enough space behind the foglight for the projector to stick out of the back. I'm trying to find the 3rd gen GS projectors because the bulbs in those go in from the side.

I think jp makes clear fogs..if your baller enough to buy those and then retrofit some hid projectors in there then go for it. I think a member has already done this.

It can definately fit a small H3 projector but the glass lens is a problem. If you can vacuum form your own lens then you're in business.

i take it you didn't read the thread about the sears alignment?

what about swapping 100 series Land Cruiser's for projectors? ..then again, aren't fogs supposed to have a wider projection of light?

I did, if you referring to the cost of the fogs.. i factored in the cost of a set of fogs and the projectors themselves. But i guess... i mean who wants to give a peice of **** $100, plus my time and effort to replace that *****.

junction produce fogs are bolted from the inside of the bumper you have to take the bumper off in order to take the fogs off
