Default spilled some coolant on timing belt

Hi, I just did the timing belt, but after i installed everything and i was pouring coolant in the radiator i noticed a leak. I found out the leak was coming from the thermostat housing where u plug into the hole where it has a rubber Oring and u bolt it down with 2 bolts to the water pump. Im pretty sure it leaked onto the timing belt. My question is,is it okay if u spilled some coolant on the t-belt? I really don't want to do the timing belt again after i installed everything.

if the coolant continues to leak from the t-stat housing you will run into a number of major problems.

a few examples:

1. your t-belt will be contaminated by coolant and eventually snap bending all sorts of valves and costing you a lot more dollars and labor.

2. your coolant supply will become depleted causing your engine to overheat and spin rod bearing rusulting in even more labor and way more $Franklins$

3. all of the above will happen and you will be instead of so take all that stuff back apart because you dont want to ruin a motor which has potentially XXX,XXX more miles to go before saying goodnight. so GET TO IT HOMIE.

as long as you fixed the coolant leak and it's not leaking on it any more there should be no worries!! A little bit of coolant on your belt will not hurt it! A lot will so get that leak fixed before you drive it!

I did not start the car, luckly for me i didn't. But i got the cam cover off and spun the crank manualy and wiped down much coolant from the belt and also i went underneath the car and took out the crank sensor and wiped it down too. Also i ordered the gasket from the dealer, because mine just had sealant around it.
