I noticed to some, price is better than quality. With paint, you get what you pay for. I wouldve opted to take my bumpers and headlights off myself if the shop wouldn't do it. Our shop even removes the bumpers for collision jobs as well...not just custom...that's the right way of doing things
hooray for speedaddic and bodylines

no i am not paying as much as some have shown. it is a paint job that is fitting my budget and i am happy with the work thus far. i am not being cheap by any means but am sticking to a certain price range. thanks for all the comments and concerns though. it really shows how you guys care for other members. i really do appreciate everyone's input.

I can totally understand not being able to afford a 10k paint job. I don't knock you for that at all. I've seen your DIY posts. You're definately mechanically inclined enough to remove that stuff yourself and save money while having the paintjob done right. Trust me, clear will find its way into things no matter how much you tape up. It will lift up eventually. For anyone else that is reading this, bodyshops will allow you to take apart the car and have the paintjob turn out better. The reason why paint jobs done right is so expensive is because of the labor to take apart and put back together. The tape job labor hours couldve been saved by removing that stuff as well....something to think about

thanks for your input. I will know this for the second time around. I can do all my own mechanical but I trusted a source by going to this location to do my work since I am cluless when it comes to painting. I regret not doing more research before getting this done. what done is done. we will see how she holds up. the shop stands behind their work and does lots of full restorations but they really charge for those jobs. thanks CL. you guys have always been informative.
