That would be the idiot that owned the car before me He had mounted a navi. setup there that was mounted on some kind of bracket...and this bracket apparently didnt fit the car very well..and left a huge (enough for me) mark
Have anbody else moved the a/c down and put the new head unit up in the spot where the a/c use to be and the a/c where the head unit suppose to be. If so please tell me how you did it Because I have the Pioneer Avic Z2 and I want to do this to mine if it can be done.
its actually about 1/2in. it doesnt bother me as much as you think it would. when the screen folds down, to eject or insert a disk, it is completely flush. i guess the bulkyness is all in the design.
be sure to post a pic of your flush install, i gotta see it!
Yeah. I'm still planning the install... It may take about 2 weeks before I actually start. Still waiting on the Reverse Cam and Sirius Tuner.
My goal is to minimize the screen from sticking out. I might not be able to totally flush mount it.. but if i can shift the deck in by about 1/4", i would be happy.
Next question that would raise is if I flush mount it, how would the gap look around the deck.
From looking at the OEM Double Din, there is actually about 1/4-1/2" play for the deck to sink in before it shows a gap.
TOTAL_ECLIPSE - did you install a reverse cam? GOt pics?
