I sold a 2002 Black Lexus GS300 with Navi and 78,000 miles for a 2004 Silver Acura TL with Navi with 49,000 miles.
I sold the Lexus because I didn't like the small trunk space.
I like the interior of the Acura better than the Lexus. I also like the steering wheels controls and the intregated XM on the Acura.
The Acura is more fun to drive than the Lexus.
But for some reason, I am missing the Lexus.
I need help for the group if I should sell the Acura and purchase another Lexus GS300.

The 04- edition Acura TL is a fantastic car though and a hit with consumers.

i would say....GS3 can hardly feel any fun over 04 TL.
but GS4 should make u feel a lot better over TL.
However, if u dont want do deal with any MODs, i would say TL might be more fun to drive.
if u can go crazy, GS4 is ALWAYS a good decision.

Clearly you like some aspects of each car. If you keep the TL, there is a part of you that misses the GS. On the other hand, if you jump into the GS, you'll miss the interior and the fun factor. Either way you're going to be missing something..
As for the GS400/430, It's quicker in the straight line compared to the GS300. Straight line isn't a fun factor if it's the only thing the car can do. Dont get me wrong, the V8 power is nice, but after awhile, you'll find yourself driving the same speed and accelerating just a hair faster. Handling, braking, etc is the same on all GS.
I guess it's time to sit down and rethink your priorities. Decide whether fun factor and technology are more important, or pure comfort.

the 2nd gen gs has a small trunk?! compared to what... a caravan?
its got a HUGE trunk. i had a 4th gen honda prelude, a g35... now those are small compared to the gs! seriously, how many golf clubs do you need?! i carry 1 bag, roughly... 10 clubs?? and still got plenty of room to spare..
im not knocking the TL, we have a comptech supercharged TL at the shop w/ 3.5 internals. the thing sounds mean! but the GS can definitely hold its own ground.

I did the opposite....sold my TL type s for a GS430.....both are nice cars. The GS has a lot more power but it also uses a lot more gasoline.
I feel like I see the new TL's everywhere....I dont ever see GS430's running around. Buy a certified pre owned GS430 with low miles and you will not look back.
