Default new wheel damaged by tire place

As you all know i purchased the donz montana wheels this week from derrick at d2 autosport. well today i went to a local tire place today to get my tires mounted and balanced. i used this place previously to mount my other wheels with no problems. well today i go there and the guy that mounted my tires before wasnt there today not thinking i allowed them to do the job anyway i pull my car in and they ask me to wait in the waiting area 30 minutes go by and im wondering whats taking them so long . so i take a peek in the working area and i see one of the workers struggleing with one of the tires trying to get it on the rim so i walk in and he's got one of the wheels on the mounting machine without the plastic protectors so it doesnt scratch the wheels up. so i ask him to let me see the wheel. he takes it off the machine and there are two huge dimples rite on the chrome lip. i start cursing him out and he says to me im not the wheel guy he called out today. i never did this before i am the radio install guy . so now i have to wait for another wheel they are replacing for me. i was ready to vomit when i saw what he did to my wheel i will never go there again

Damn that sucks....I'm a mechanic and do all my own mounting and balancing myself at work so I am extra careful. But like everyone else said, at least they're replacing it. Still hard to bellieve the "radio guy" was doing it!

That sucks. I had something like that happend when I got my wheels. The place I got them from, dropped (more like tipped over) one of my rear wheels right before installing it. Got some light scuff marks, nothing too bad, so I told the sales guy to give me a new one or take all them off. He responded with a $50 discount for the damages on wheel, I responded with a big no and told him to take them all off.
I ended walking away with a $200 discount from the total price. I knew I would eventually curb my own wheels, might as well get $200 from some one else doing it for me first

I can't find a place that isn't dinkin' my wheels. My bro. had the same thing. Can people not put on rims without scratching them? So frustrating to drop 600 a rim and have them come back with scratches or marks or even gouges.

No kidding. I used to work for a shop like Autobacs in Japan for about a year as a part time job in the tire section but I didn't even dare do those expensive wheels some customers had like BBS. I would just have my boss do it. The most I did were 18" and I still had a hard time putting on some tires after a year...can't imagine why the radio guy even attempted to do it.
