Default Dash Board: Brake lights

I've been seeing the warning icon for the brake light bulbs to be changed. Here's the weird part... They all work! The blinkers, reverse lights, brake lights, spoiler, they ALL work. Showed DJ Tantra when we were installing my system, and he thinks it's weird too. Any ideas?

have you checked the third brake light? There is 5 bubls in there and if one is out, it will set the dash light.

make sure your brake fluid is topped off. If it isn't the brake light will be thrown up... Or maybe you accidently hit the e-brake slightly and never released it.

He doesnt have a thirs break light...he has a OEM trunk spoiler...

***I've heard that the light comes on as a warning that a light may be going out...

So maybe a bulb or something is loose..or is about to go bad...

I suggest...Since bulbs aren't that expensive...just change one set at a time...and you should get the faulty bulb...

if you put the wrong wattage bulb in the lights will work but it will trigger the tail light indicator showing a bulb is out. i have seen it in the 3rd brake light many times when someone changes 1 of 5 everything works but the indicator is still on. have you changed any bulbs lately?

in my case i had a blown license plate bulb on gs3 but no dash warning light came up. On the other hand this gs4 - no bulbs were changed, spoiler lights all light up. How could it be the brake fluid??

A OEM trunk spoiler without the third brake light, that is not OEM. All cars have a third brake light, it's the law.

What he is taking about is not the actual warning brake light, even though it sounds like he maybe. He is talking about the light out indicator.
Usually, if the brake warning light comes on it has something to do with the brake system and more times than not it means low brake fluids. Which can sometimes mean brake pads are low. Also, some cars are equipped with warning sensors on the pads them selfs, which will trigger the same warning light.

I'm going to the Dealership tomorrow to have it looked at. My dad went crazy looking for the faulty bulb as well.

Might be a bad bulb failure sensor. Its located in the left rear quarter panel in the trunk. If you have a friend with the same GS and OEM spoiler, try swapping the sensor. If it stops doing it then the sensor is faulty.
