Default GS400 WaponR intake & Cold AirBox

Hey Guys here is a picture of the WeaponR GS400 instake, The Cold Air Box is now available, and the single piece pipes will also be available soon. I am not affiliaed with WeaponR, but I love this stuff, much nicer than my RMM was.

I painted the top Black, it comes all silver.

Cwerlin,

Does your car gets pretty loud when you punch it after you installed the Weapon R intake? My SRT intake gets pretty loud under full throttle.... A little too loud for my taste.

The weapon R is quieter than my RMM was and I know the RMM was slightly quieter than the Swift. So the answer is yes, quite a bit softer with the cold Air Box. I am also going to put a little foamboard as insulation on the inside of the box to make it even softer. I love the noise, but my wife hates it..

Same problem here. My wife hates the noise coming from the intake. How much is the Weapon R intake system with cold air box. I am wondering if I would run into any problem if I use the SRT ECU with the Weapon R intake.....hummmmm

The Weapon R is already a little bit quieter than the SRT intake. I know because I have had both.

With the Cold Air box, you basically remove almost all the noise since it's the filter area that makes the most intake noise and it's enclosed in a box...

I'd say remove the SRT ECU, put on the new WR intake with Cold Air Box and my bet is you can't tell the performance differences IMHO...

The thing that interests me is that WR is quieter than SRT. I'm sure their airbox somehow blocks some noise.

Let me testdrive your M3 and you will be sure that I'll rush into a BMW dealer.

Not sure if I have some extra cash around as a bodykit is currently processing underground.
