Question:
What are the names of the Japanese vehicles that are equivalent to the Lexus models?

Answer:
ES Windom
LS Celsior
GS Aristo
SC Soarer
RX Harrier
IS Altezza
LX is not sold in Japan, only the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Unfortunately LX IS sold in Japan, under Land Cruiser Cygnus. Talk about doing research before speaking.

Maybe it's just me, but this is nitpicking. They're saying that there's not a non-Land Cruiser equivalent to the LX, and that's true. It's a particular configuration of the Land Cruiser that matches the features of the LX...

That could be true too.

To me it sounds like they thought only the Land Cruiser has an equivalent in Japan, where the LX doesn't (which is false because there IS an equivalent.)

If you log onto the Lexus website as an owner, one of the FAQ has to do with modifying their vehicles. The answer is that it is not recommended. Go to L-tuned.com and it talks about all of the upgrades available and how they are backed by the Lexus warranty.

And then there is the TRD division....

Go figure?
