Default Ball joints Good price?

Gotta do the ball joints, my buddy said he would do it for 150 for both sides. I have to buy the parts, is this a good price? He's doing uppers and lowers. Also where to get them from, dealer? 98 Gs 300.

Default That's a good price. Was quoted @$700 from Toyota dealer, just uppers, both sides.

you should get the parts from Sewell Lexus (they're a sponsor on this site...check them out)

Let us know what difference you experience before/after

$150 for labor? The lower balljoints are really easy. Takes me about 30-40 minutes to do both sides from start to finish. An outside shop will probably charge you $75 to do both sides.

Just to let you know, Lexus does not sell the upper balljoints alone because it's integrated into the upper control arm.

I had a professional mechanic do my lowers for about that labor price ... why mess around with a backyard garage?

+1

Bought mine from Sewell and i got a fantastic price and they arrived in 1 day. The difference is night and day. The steering is much more precise and it really cleaned up the feel of the front end, imo.

Thanks guys, Didn't know you couldn't buy the uppers. My buddy works at the chevy dealership, but pulls a car or two in when its slow and does side work. Hmm, will try and talk him down. Thanks again.
