Default License plate flipper?

Purpose of it? Don't really see a practical use for it besides attempting to evade police or the Revenue department. Jury is still out on this one for me.

www.plateflipper.com
Check it out for yourself but $130 a kit???

"proud sponsor of SEMA" huh, it's clearly going to only be used for illegal activities, how did SEMA approve of them? even when they say it's off road only....

For $130, you could've just bought a pair of hinges, a cable to release or retract, and still have $120 left to pay the ticket that you just received.

I saw this at SEMA and honestly guys- just like what Solo said, you could make it yourself. Hell, I even thought about making one for my car just for fun. The key piece to the setup is a simple door lock actuator.

Here's how it works - you can just make one. Excuse the crude sketch, I didn't have a lot of time on my hands.

You made that whole diagram for this thread? Looks like you had some time.

Looks useful for red light cameras.

i had one of these on my old car that a shop made for me , in newjersey we have alot of toll roads and this saved me a bundle. I also had 2 foglights installed behind the plate so i could flick the plate down and turn foglights on basically just for show, but helped in reverse with tineted windows. I ve even seen some kid have a lcd screen and he could type anything he wanted to display when the plate came down .
