Default rims off are on for winter?

I havent decided yet to take my wheels off or keep them on for the winter. I really dont drive the car only on the weekends. But i live in philadelphia and car is parked on the street. So what are you guys planning on doing are you takin the wheels off or leavin them on? And how bad will they get if you dont take them off? will they pit, dull, or chip?

Me, I kept mine on but I do have a garage as well...... I have another car that I can drive if the day looks crappy. If I were you, take them off bro. The car is parked on the street correct. With you just buying a brand new set, don't take the chance of some pitting or maybe even some kind of corrision. Just my thoughts.....

Bobby, with the street cleaning and snow plow trucks literally spraying rock salt everywhere, take them off. You dont want that stuff blasting those nice new shiny lips now do you? lol

damn it's good to live in Phoenix sometimes! But not when it's 11o degrees + for too many months. I'd take them off so they don't get ruined....I grew up in Illinois for 19 years and remember that crap quite well. Of course then I was young and couldn't afford cool wheels! of course back then if you had 16's you were SO cool! lol

I took my 17's off about a month ago, and I say do the same. It'll keep them rims nice and clean! So when spring comes back, you don't need to worry about dents, scratches, corrosion, etc.

Well last winter I didn't bother to take my rims off since last winter was cold but not really snowy. Still I felt a bit uncomfortable driving so that's why this year I have my snow tires and other stock wheels on standby.

take them off bro...no matter how u take care of them...they will literally get eatin' alive...i live in Toronto and i know first hand how bad salt, ice, snow are for your rims...i have stock chrome 17" 5-star for winter use and the chrome is slowly peeling off...and i literally baby the car...and wash it whenever i get the chance when salt gets on the car...

I know its hard to take them off especially after ridin on them for only two weeks but better safe than sorry. They'll still be there when the birds start chirpin again in the spring and it will be that much better once theyre on again.
