Hey Guys, If you all had to choose between an 01 ls430 vs a 03 gs430, which one would you all choose? Supposing both had the basic package and same mileage. Which chassis looks better? I know this is the GS thread so I'm kind of guessing what everyone like better.

I'd get the LS430. More car for the money.

If price of both are similar then go with the LS. Also depends what direction you want to go with the car. If you want to just have a luxo cruiser then go with the LS. If you want something that you can make very fast then go with the GS300

I say get the LS430. Overall a better car. It's lexus' flagship car. Quieter car with more luxury items. Sure the GS430 is more 'sporty' (not that sporty", but there are other cars better suited for fun. Bottom line...get the LS430

man, u guys arent giving the gs enough credit. there are amazing things in the LS, but base for base... ehh i dont know. the GS has the class of a wall street broker, but the ***** of a fighter. the LS only has that class factor. if u were getting the LS w/ UL, this changes the picture and starts leaving dust on the GS. The GS to me has the right mix of both that sets it apart.

I'd take the GS430, it looks nicer to overall, the old LS look like big Granny cars to me. Besides I don't like the "boat" feeling when you try to make turns in the LS. If we were talking about the new LS vs. GS I would say LS hands down, they look O so Sexy now !!

i'd go with the gs simply cuz I love the way it looks and how the gs is so much more fun to mod. i'd feel as if I'm taking away wut the ls if I mod it cuz its meant for the rich old man look the gs has a much younger look to it and is more mod friendly in my eyes

I like the previous generation LS's. It looks good and is afforable (to people like me) compared to the new LS.

i would go LS if it was the UL and was loaded up, but base for base, GS all the wway like i said. When i was buying a lexus in August, I was torn between the 2 but i couldnt afford an LS loaded up so I went with a loaded GS with rolatively low mileage

I like the GS way better. I think it looks way better, and its faster.

If you've never owned either car, I'd say go with the GS for a few years and then move on to an LS. I've been driving a GS4 coming up on 4 years, and my next move will be to an LS430. If I had to do it all over again, I'd do the same thing.
