Wanted to get the iPod adaptor for my 2003 GS, so I went looking around. I talked to two companies in NJ that do all types of installations. One company said they cannot do it, the other said they can. The company who said they can took my car in the morning and called several hours later and said there is no place to connect the adapter. So they said Sirius Satellite and the iPod hook up can't be done. I am soooo mad. Anyone know any trick to get around this or if anything can be done??

Just installed a Vaistech unit in my 03 GS. Hooked up both Ipod and Sirrius. Works perfect & easy too install. Onaly draw back is you will not get song titles to display on the factory radio.

i thought the songs work if you set it up as a minidisk player?

depends what gen you have. i have an '03 gs430 with ML sound and navi and the vaistech unit wont display the songs no matter how you set it up..just shows playlists by numbers and track functions like the ipods a cd changer..but the integration into the factory touchscreen is still worth it.

I have an '02 GS430 with ML and the VAISTECH unit is nice. Though the iPod functions like a CD changer, I have to agree to the fact that the integration is nice with the factory touchscreen....WORTH IT!

It should work for the '01 also.
