what's the tape for?

 

tape is for freeway rocks and crap like that. prevents paint chips and dead bugs

 

Nice pics, but is road debris that bad in TX? or is the tape thing a trend? Were there a few Hondas there? I only saw one GS I think. BTW I like the way this forum labels new ppl, makes me feel so "Like just got my car yesterday." young.

 

he came down from austin to houston, which is like 2.5hr drive normally. rock chips and tons of bugs (depending on season) when coming down from there. the tape is just used to protect the paint. and normally done by people in the show circuit or track addicts.

as for cars, if it was the same meet i went to, we had a abundance of cars. every import you can imagine. i rolled in with my buddy in a E63, then there was his friend with the Aston Martin Vanquish, bunch of show and magazine cover cars, etc...

 

Yeh I know what the tape is for, and i've driven through parts of Tx and as you say the bugs can be brutal. So there may be more pics huh?
