i have a 2001 gs300...i drive on the freeway all the time...i used to pump premium at mobil...then i started pumping premium at 76...i've noticed i get more mileage using 76...with a full tank...i can get 320 miles until the light comes on...since then i always try to pump at 76...a full tank costs me around $48....

Default GS400 mileage report

I'm in sales and drive regularly 20,000 miles plus a year on my '98 GS400. I average 19mpg and I like driving fast. Drove 1000 miles on the highway last weekend and averaged 24mpg. I cannot wait to see what changes will come with new exhaust and cold air intake.

I am lucky enough that I work at home and don't have to commute every day any more. When I do drive, I average about 20 MPG, and I can get at least 350 miles out of a tank of gas before I worry about filling up.

I have been tracking my gas mileage since I bought my GS 300. My best = 25.81 MPG and worst = 20.97 MPG. My wife's got about 23 MPG on the hwy. I use the recommended premium grade gasoline and keep the tires inflated to proper pressure and pretty much drive slow enjoying the smooth ride and all the comforts that Lexus has given me.

My office is 9 miles away from my house. The route is split between a 2 lane highway and an interstate. Dirving this way, I get 19 to 19.5. Recently, they have been doing a major revamp that causes a lot of delays so I take an alternate route bypassing the highways and going more or less through town. Lucky if I get 18. On a recent trip, I got 23 with the cruise set on 100 mph much of the way.

91 to 93 octane (most stations in the valley are only 91 octane).

All the freeway time was between 70 and 90 mph.

All the in town time was mostly stop and go traffic.

LOL! That was for the drive back from picking it up in South Carolina.

Right now, I'm "on vacation". At least, until I find another job.

~10-11 mpg

95% city driving in socal with some of the worse drivers out there. They drive slow so u have to drive slow. They stop late, or stop for no reason, causing you to stop hard, which kills gas mileage. Traffic light is 10 seconds away from each other.
