Please clarify. I don't know what you mean. From what I understand 9005 bulbs are single filament.
DRL uses like 30-50% power output for them. You will risk frying the ballast if you dont disable the DRL. Plus by the time you use HID for the high beams.. it will take like 5-10 secs to fully warm up and light the road.. haha
You can't have HID as DRL. The bulbs either on or off, no 50%.
I have seen a guy running HID's in his DRL/HB around Houston. If I am not mistaken you can bypass the DRL regulator and the HID will work. Looked good because he had the headlights and foglights done as well. Sure was bright, almost supprised he did not get pulled over for it.
