gs4 paddle shift?
I am thinking of buying a gs400 and im curious to how the paddle shift works. I have never driven one, but in the pictures of the steering wheel both buttons say down. can you only downshift with it or how do you upshift? How exactly does it work?

it isnt really a true "paddle shift" if you are in mode 5 and you gas it... your car will still down shift to a lower gear to accelerate... in a true paddle shift, it would accelerate in gear 5.
It allows you to move from 2-5 gear... no 1 available =(

Also, the car will NEVER upshift for you; it will NEVER go beyond the selected gear...However, unlike a manual gearbox it will go down gears on it's own when slowing down. For example, if your in "M" mode and have the car in 3rd gear and are cruising at around 60 mph and start to slow down to a stop sign. The car will now start off again in 1st gear, shift automatically to 2nd gear and then to 3rd gear but never go past 3rd gear unless you downshift or upshift. Hope this helps! GL!
