Hi, I bought used canister for my 98 gs4. Only # that i see on the canister is #77740-30260. The salvage that i got the part from told me it was from a 98 gs4,but just incase they might be mistaken,I wanted to verify from the part that's on there. I know that 98 only works on that year.

77740-30260 is the origional part #. The # changed to 77740-30261. Either one will work.

The one from my 99' is 77740-30311 so I guess they are different. I installe dit to since some jackass that owned it before me ran a screw thru it for stereo equipment....what a pain in the ***!

So is it confirmed that 99 GS400 and 98 GS400 have two different canisters?

I have a 99' GS400 and found someone with one from a 1998 for sale. I just wanna make sure they match up.
