I actually just took the chrome strips off my front and rear bumpers a week ago and replaced it with some 3/8 molding in black .. looks pretty good (i think) just have to figure out what i am going to do with the body side cladding stainless as its part of the moldings may have to paint it..... i m taking all the chrome off except for around the windows

Where could i find this bumper at i wanted a stockk looking one that would go with the whole car. Do they send them painted the factory colors or do you have to paint them yourself.

Talking

sweet. I can save some money by doing my bumper install myself after getting the parts painted. thanks for the necro! it should be added to the sticky for future reference. Have you had to do the front bumper yet?

Nice write up!!

Is it necessary to remove the tail lights for this process or could you leave them on?

Good writeup, this helped me out the other day. Overall only took me about an hour and a half. It was actually much easier than it seems it would be. The hardest part was getting off 2 of the plastic tabs under the car which I just broke instead. Also the styrofoam bumper reinorforcement wouldn't stay in place when I was putting it back on
so I used some duck tape.
