Exclamation HELP!!! Car horn keeps sounding!! Headlights flashing!!

Hi,

Can anyone please assist me???!!! My car horn on my '02 GS300 keeps sounding in 15 minute intervals and lasts for about 5 minutes until I manually unlock the door. Also, my headlights keep flashing. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I think it may be a blown fuse but I want to be certain to take all precautionary measures until I can get to the dealer. Any thoughts? I've disconnected the horn fuse so far. Please help!!!

It could also be your alarm. Check your indicator light. It should flash in less then 1 second if the alarm is on and just over a second when it is off. Then check the connections to the theft deterrent horn. It is located on your passenger side fender near the front, not the two up by your grill. Check the switches for your hood and trunk lock as well as the doors and the wiring. If you switched out a fuse for the horn did the lights still blink? Maybe something is corroded and causing a short setting off the alarm.

Thanks for all of your replies. "BCP43002" I disconnected the horn fuses after the horn eventually went off and would not stop even when the car was started. I did notice about 5 mins later after the horn fuse was pulled, the headlights came on by themselves. Then, they turned off about 2 mins later and repeated the process about 5 mins later. So I went back out and started the car. I turned the car off and set the alarm while sitting in the car for about 10 mins and they did not come back on. Now I am just curious to what the issue could be because your comment hit the nail on the head with the flashing lights.

Its something in your alarm system. By pulling out the fuse to the horn and still having the lights go on eliminated that fuse as being the problem. Something is making the alarm go off. Start with the simple stuff like are all the doors, hood, trunk fully closed. Was it raining or just went thru a car wash? Could you test for continuity in the various circuits to see if a switch is bad?
