Default Opinion on GS 300-330 vs GS 400-430

I currently have a GS400 and my wife wants one as well. I was just curious on opinions on how well a GS300 runs and drives compared to a GS400-430. I really rather not get her a V8, too much gas and she really dont need the power. She racks the miles on pretty quickly. You opinin will be greatly helpfull and appreciated.

Will she be driving highway most of the time, or local? If highway, then the gas mileage for the GS300 and 400/430 will be about the same. The V8 engine is smoother all around. Handling/braking and everything else is the same. You basically gain acceleration and smoothness, all the way to redline

BTW, there is no GS330

forget about gs330, never had one. this is not es300 or rx330

but anyway, gas mileage of gs400/430 and gs300 are virtually the same. check the record on edmunds, the EPA ratings are almost identical. so gas mileage isn't a problem

maybe he means a 3GS 350?

if you strictly speaking of 2GS, look for a 430. mileage is comparable to the 300 and you get more power. hey, u can even get the 430 for yourself and give your wife the 400!

Sorry, had a brain fart while trying to type before i had to clock in from lunch. I was thinking about the rx not the gs when i typed that. I would like to get my wife the GS300 but dont want to hear her compare it to a civic as far as power goes. She has quite the led foot, and dont trust her with the power. She currently drives an 04 tahoe and shes a nightmare in it.

Plus if needed id like to be able to out run her.

Give her the GS300!! The GS300 should be quicker than the tahoe anyways. Treat yourself to the GS400/430. You deserve it

I am having the same debate. GS300 or GS400?? Right now I am about to buy a 400 again. Really I was looking for the 300 thinking it is more economical. If its not that much of a difference I know the 400 its a lot faster and powerful. For me its city driving all the way. I live In NYC. I think either one is heavy on Gas.

They both get about the same gas mileage but the gs3 is a hell of a lot slower.

as a former owner of a tahoe/yukon; they really kick when they have to, if you have the 6.0 V8, that lower end torque gets you moving nicely.

get the 430 and give her the 400 as the gas mileage is more or less the same.
