Looks BMWish.

But I always loved the green Japanese thing, its easier on my eyes for some reason, or maybe because orange reminds me of my old Pontiac Grand Prix POS.

But does that led light thing you have on your shifter console have a switch? At least you can turn it on only when you need to. Other then that its an excellent idea.

i tapped the wires into the cig under the armrest. the cable are run internaly inside the armrest, it was a simple job that require removal of the first armrest hard plastic cover and the shift wood trim area to get to the cig wires. the light are on when ever my car is on. nothing fancy like haveing the light turn on by a switch or tapping the ignition. its only LED. they harly get hot and use very little power and cheap.
