What year supra lsd will fit 98 gs?
Im looking to invest some money in an lsd. i've been looking around and its kind of hard finding a 98 supra TT lsd. most i find is a 82-92 supra lsd. will this fit on the GS3? looking to look for a complete rear end differential to save the work and trouble.

Since you have a GS300 you do not want the Supra TT LSD. If you had a GS400 or 430 the case would be different.
You already have a gear ratio of 3.92 in the 98-99 GS300; 4.27 in the 00-05 GS300. The TT LSD has a 3.76, which from my understanding will DEcrease your performance. You simply need a LSD unit by itself. Kaaz and TRD make such a unit.

**If you still wanted a complete rear diff like you said, your best option would be to find the first listing below in the 92-96 years. Probably not gonna be easy to find..**

The higher the ratio the better for acceleration...however, a lot of thought must be put into this. For example, if a GS4XX owner who has 3.2? gears goes up to 4.27 gears (direct swap from a '00-'05 GS300) the acceleration of the car would be MUCH more but your RPM's will be higher at every given speed (MPH) thus making you burn a lot more gas especially at cruising (highway) speeds. That's why many GS4XX owner's choose a happy medium, the 3.76 setup because it offers better acceleration, more traction (because of the LSD) and does not KILL gas mileage; it's still effected though. GL!

400dgrz says it will decrease performance but rock-a-lex your saying that a 4.26 will have MUCH greater accel but less RPM. then again your saying the 3.76 lsd offers traction and better acceleration.

if i want to lower the RPM at cruising speeds i should get a 3.76 to replace my 4.27? or will that affect performance??

well already with the intake im at high rpms in highway.
@oohpapi44: it is a cost effective mod. if you get the whole assembly (rear differential) you can easily bolt it on. you can check out bananags diy site. but im just wondering what is the correct and best one for the vehicle
