Question Metal hinge in gas tank pipe/ evap code

I could've sworn there used to be a hinge door in the pipe that you have to get the gaz nozle past. I do not have one, and I am wondering if this may be the cause of my evap codes.

Do we have that hinge like all other cars? I thought it was there at one point but I might be going crazy.

The evap codes that show upare P0441 and P04450. Could that be causing the problem? If not will I have to replace my charcoal canister?

You should have a little flap on the door. Can't comment on the codes as I don't have my service manual handy but there is supposed to be a little flap on there.

Here is a link for the codes. I have a 2002 430 and there is no door in my pipe I do see two vent/overfill holes https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=323956

I don't have one either...but it shouldn't be a problem as the fuel caps are tested every 2 years in CA for vapors and fuel not to leak

I was wondering about that. When I bought the car I didn't have one either. At the very least the nozzle size restricter is there so I can't accidentally pour in Diesel.
