I love the 05 Legacy we have. Not to bash the 2IS guys, but I would take a Legacy over an IS any day. Sure, it may be louder and not as luxurious, but its way more fun to drive.

The 2GS is a different story. Its much quieter and more relaxing.

Im sure you will make the adjustment fine, or you could keep the wrx and the 2GS .

i wish i could afford them both, that'd be a nice balance. I've considered the legacy alot too but i just can't get over the looks. The power is there, manual, awd but in the looks and luxury categories the 2gs beats it hands down.

I used to have an 02:

The WRX has a ton more fun factor...it was faster, it handled better, and it was just more fun to drive.

But as a commuter, the Lexus is way better..its more quiet, the ride is smoother, and it gets better gas mileage

However, my Lexus didn't replace my WRX, the bimmer replaced the WRX....My lexus replaced a lifted dodge truck which was killing me on a 100 mile daily commute.

Perhaps a +04 USDM 2.5L STI block?

Actually this conversation is right on time for me as I just sold my 05 Legacy GT Wagon to my dad and will be shopping for a new ride in the summer. I LOVED my Suby and am not entirely sure I won't be going back to one. However I am getting old enough (just turned 31) where I am starting to envy the comfort of the luxo-sport sedan. Therefore, the GS is very, very high on my "list"

There is nothing like the look on another driver's face when you can outrun them with a station wagon...nothing

BTW - this is my first post here, but I have been lurking for 6+ months.

glad i have my suby today, it finally snowed here! my LS would have gotten stuck in my driveway and been a ***** to drive on the street, so i jumped int eh suby and did a few minutes of doughnuts in teh local mall. that is until the renta cop finally snuck up behind me and chased me out and made me go to work!

probably going to make the move soon finally. Lets get some last input. Hope i won't regret it! i'll be getting a gs430 by the way

oh yeah and i have a regular wrx right now thats stock, not an sti. As far as power right now its all stock (got reffed) and i feel that its enough, handling is great (coilovers) but the attention is just annoying.

i drove my 1990 5-speed 240sx dumped to the ground on 16s, with full 3in exhaust, and totally stripped out interior for the past two years. i am having no regrets getting rid of her whatsoever. different car, but same story. just do it.

looking at an 01 gs430 for 16k with 84000 miles in mint condition, they won't go down on price. No navi or ml audio.
