Thumbs down Ebay Q45 lamp assembly * Halogen, not HID, warning*

Can someone that have E bay account ask them to see if it uses halogen or HID, and stuff? Seems cheap as it's only 200 bucks... from picture of the back of the projectors it seems it's some bulb inside, but the picture of the light output looks HIDish....

Edit: Guess it's useless then. Oh well.

BTW, saw the bike picture, it's photoshopped

You could get an HID conversion for it. That would total up to around $400 using a decent quality HID kit.

Output will not be the same though.

Save the money and just wait for an actual set of projectors to come around. Check HIDPlanet, and ebay (although it's rather hard to come by unless you buy the actual lamps) etc. I know there are some schematics out for a machine shop to machine the brackets, so it'll all bolt in also. I was going to do this, but then I came upon some stock HID reflectors that i'll just toss in the housing one of these days.

well, I don't think you'll still have part of the original headlamp's glass around the projectors after a retrofit...

Anytime there is "Universal" stated in the title, you can be pretty sure it is generic and not OEM/genuine.

We're talking about the one on the bike

you can clearly see the original glass headlamp around the projector housing, which in no way that I know of will anybody retro into a originally glass housing without taking all the glass out, thus I'm saying it's photoshopped by taking the projector picture, and put it ON the glass lamp... And I can hardly believe anybody will take that much effort to cut the glass lamp so perfectly to fit the projector.

nono, I know Q45 on a bike is definitely doable and will(have) be done, but I'm saying the picture on the Ebay page, which I took it and put it in my last post, THAT picture's photoshopped, that's all.

what im trying to say is that cant be glass around the projector because on the stock headlights of the q its filler its just the regular shroud!... theres no glass execpt for the projector it self and if it was photoshopped wouldnt you see the plastic or outter part of the assembaly make a glare??

... I doubt we're talking about the same thing, why doesn't anybody understand what I'm on about

Picture taken from the Ebay page:

The red area is what i'm talking about, which should be the original glass headlamp like any other old or cruiser bikes...

What I THINK they've done is take their image of the projector

and put it on to the original picture with glass headlamp...

something like this was what I'm talking about...
