What would you prefer?
1. Purchasing LED tails with LED Load Resistors
2. Getting LED tails without Load Resister and remove the warning signal bulb from dash?
tx.

Well, resistors tend to get really hot and removing a warning bulb means you no longer will be warned prior to something fouling up, lol. So it's a choice between taking the heat or flying blind...Hmm...Decisions decisions...

I have load resistors in my Sonar/Wise LED outters, but they have yet to come out with them for the LED inners. So I was rolling around with stock inners and LED outter for about a year until I couldnt take it anymore. Although I hate to lose the functionality of the light out indicator, I pulled the bulb. It is VERY easy to do.
1.) Pull the dash out with your hands. Grab from the inner portions of the dash where the circles meet. Be careful not to pull too far. There is one wire harness you have to disconnect on the upper right of the dash.
2.) There are 4 phillips screws on the up left and right and bottom left and right of the actual dash. Very easy to spot. Try and use a magnetic screwdriver, as you may lose the screws as they are a tight fit. (This is a great time to thoroughly clean the dash with windex, plastix or watever.)
3.) You will clearly see at the bottom portion of the dash the shadows of all the warning lights. When u look at the bottom of the dash, there are a bunch of access point for the tiny 1 watt bulbs that screw out with a phillips. Take the bulb out and reinstall.
Good to go.

Just pull the bulb. From an electronics standpoint you will have less power consumption which is the purpose of LED lights, aside from that they look good
