Paint something else black like your calipers but not your roof.

It's been done years ago by several members. Jawnthen comes to mind as one.

This is an old pic. He has since added a black trim to his hood as well as trunk area and I think it now flows much better and looks complete.

more info here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ight=dark+side

There are stock Scion TC's, new Audi's rolling around from the factory, you just need to keep your eyes open. The black treatment is NOT just for extended glass sunroofs as standard Mercedes without the longer glass have it as well.

Jawnthen toiled with the idea for months before going for it. I will ask Jawnthen to post new picks as I think his "completed" black paint scheme looks aggressive & trendy. You can decide for yourself.

At SEMA 2007 I saw an increasing amount of black roof treatments on show cars and they all were executed well IMO. Will these early adopters later become trend setters? Only time will tell.

If you have limo tint all the way around, then the look might work.

All in all. You need 2 things to make this really work...

1 - Tints all around.

2- Somebody who knows what they're doing (bad paintjob can really ruin the look)
