Overdue Intro & Pics
Came into the New Year with a bang of sorts, got myself a 2001 GS300. I want to thank Club Lexus's members who have taken their time for their knowledgable input, really helped me in making my decision. Shout out also to all the GS veterans that have paved the way for us newcomers.
The GS is a black on black and I love it. Suspension had a little wobble to it when it hits a bump, but apart from that it drives and rides like a champ. Replacing the suspensions with some Tein CS, just got it in this week. Ordered some Rotora slotted rotors and some Hawk pads, getting the rotors cryotreated. The cryotreating helps prevent rotors from warping and increases lifespan of the pads too. Got some Rotora stainless steel brake lines too. Replacing ball joints, tie rods, waterpump, timing belt, serpentine belt, pulleys, hydraulic tensioner etc. The car had 98000miles on it when I got it so I just wanted to get all the regular maintenance items and parts that are known to go bad done and out of the way so I dont have to worry about it. Ordered some HID's, white for the low beams, yellow for the fog lights and I'm just putting some PIAA ION yellow in the high beams along with some PIAA yellow wedge bulbs in the high beam housing to keep a yellow DRL. I think it'll look hot having yellow fogs and yellow DRL's. Kinda exhausted my funds at the moment but I want to get some wheels, deep dish wheels. I'm in love with the Work Euroline DH wheels. So if anyone knows of a set that are for sale please let me know. Preferably some 19x9 and 19x10 with a 28~32 offset.
Want to do a kit in the near future. Love the JP kit, the Wald lip kit, autocoture etc. The pics below were taken a couple of days after I got my car and a day or so after a friend bought his SC so it is stock except for the tint. Put 15% all around. LOVE IT!!!!

I didnt take these shots, a friend of mine did. He is on the board too romeo291. He dwells mostly in the SC forums though... but if anyone in the NC Raleigh/Cary/Durham areas want to meet up, take some pics etc.. I'm sure he would'nt mind doing a shoot, hes got a passion for it so it helps the cause.
